What is a "sneak peek"?

It takes a long time to sort through the thousands of photos I take on your wedding day, and even longer to hand-edit the hundreds of final images you receive. In the days following your wedding, I like to send over a curated selection of finished photos while you wait for the full gallery. Sneak peeks are also a great opportunity to request any changes in editing style or note any cosmetic edits you'd like me to apply.

How many hours of coverage do I need?

I don't believe in upselling my packages just to get a bigger paycheck. I want my couples to have as much information as possible so you can make an informed decision that fits what's best for you. A finalized timeline will give the best guidance on coverage specific to your wedding, but here's a general outline for those that are just beginning to plan:

1-3 hours:

Two hours is ideal for elopements, with full ceremony coverage and plenty of time to get some couple's portraits and quick pictures with your guests. For couples that want to document a full wedding but have a strict budget, three hours will also get the beginning of your cocktail hour/reception, including several candid photos of you and your guests celebrating.

4 hours:

This will typically cover the full ceremony, photos with family/friends, couple's portraits, and key moments of your reception. You may also have room for the tail end of getting ready, but might have to sacrifice some reception coverage.

6 hours (most popular):

It's rare that a wedding runs fully on schedule. Six hours of coverage is the sweet spot for covering all the essentials, with plenty of breathing room. You'll have time to add some detail shots and getting ready photos, pre-ceremony activities like a first look, and high-energy photos on the dance floor in the later hours of the night. Some couples are able to fit their grand exit within 6 hours of coverage, but it depends on your specific timeline.

9 hours:

If you're looking to capture all the moments of your big day with no timeline stress, 9 hours is the most well-rounded option. This gives me time to get photos of both partners getting ready in their respective areas, thoughtful detail shots of the venue and decor, and close-up photos ("flat lays") of personal details like your invitations, vow books, rings, florals, etc. It typically covers your day from preparation through the full reception, often all the way to your grand exit. My standard 9-hour package includes 3 hours with an extra photographer, so you'll have two perspectives capturing every moment. The second photographer will typically cover cocktail hour while I take your couple's portraits, grabbing plenty of guest candids and extra detail shots.

Full day:

For a documentary-style approach that captures your wedding day in its entirety, this option has it all. With up to 14 hours of coverage, your gallery will tell a complete story, highlighting both the big moments and the intimate, behind-the-scenes details that make your day unique. Full-day coverage also allows your story to begin beyond the traditional timeline, whether that’s a slow morning getting ready, sharing breakfast in your pajamas, or ending the night surrounded by your favorite people. A second photographer is included for 5 hours to ensure more of your day is documented from multiple perspectives. While I’m focused on key moments, they’re capturing alternate angles, guest reactions, and the candid details everyone else might otherwise miss.

Can I customize my photo package?

Yes! I'm more than happy to help you build a custom package that fits your needs. You also have the option to purchase add-ons à la carte, like a secondary photographer, additional coverage time, and more.

What does a gallery with that many photos really look like?

It's difficult to put big numbers into perspective when imagining how many wedding photos you'll end up with. My minimum photo count in each package is based on my experience photographing dozens of weddings. I can assure you that there won't be any unnecessary repeats included just to hit the minimum - every photo in your gallery will be a unique moment worth remembering.
